How to Tell if Google Considers Your Website as Mob
ile Friendly Website?
Google search on mobile now marks websites that are mobile-friendly. How would you test if your site is believed to be by Google Spiders?
You no longer have a mobile-friendly website that is not readable or usable on mobile phones. That’s because Google is clearly marking websites (screenshots) in mobile search results that they consider mobile-friendly and if that tag is not showing around your content, then your website’s mobile traffic decreases can see.
Responsive design is definitely the way to go but will it be enough. How do you confirm if your web pages are considered to be mobile-friendly by Google? There are quite a few options.
One, you can search a site at Google.com on any mobile phone: domain.com so that it can be checked to see if the tag is displayed around the most popular web pages of your website. This is the fastest way to check mobile-friendliness of many pages without using any device.
Google also offers an online tool to help you find your website as mobile friendly. You have to run it against all the pages of your site.
Sometimes a website may be responsive and readable on a mobile device, but it may not be usable. For example, the link can be very close to each other, making it difficult to tap or the video can be embedded using Flash which does not run on mobile devices. These factors can also prevent Google from marking your website as mobile friendly.
If your site suffers from any of these disposable issues, you can use your Google Webmaster account to learn it. Open Webmaster Tools, select Search Traffic, and select Mobile Utility. Here you will see all the pages of your site that are indexed by Google and need to attract your attention.
Alternatively, you can use PageSpeed Tools to find usable issues without entering the Webmaster Central. Place the URL in the input box and check the Mobile Experience Report under Mobile. If you see anything in the red, then it needs to be fixed. You can also find other online tools to test your website.
