How to use Google Maps as a Background of your Web Page?

Are you know that you can embed a Google maps in the background on your webpage while keeping the maps interactive.

The contact form embed a Google maps in the background. This will not a static screenshot image of Google maps in the background but the map will be interactive. You will able to zoom in, zoom out & drag. You may see the satellite view and the maps view.

What is the Basic Funda?

Basically, there are two layers of the page. One is the map and other is the form. The form has a higher z-index than Google Maps, hence the Google maps appears in the background. For this purpose you have to change in HTML, CSS and Javascript.

  1. The HTML – There are two div elements- Google Maps and Contact Form. You may add everything inside contact form, will show in your form.

  2. The CSS # contact forma has a fixed width and # googlemaps occupies the entire hight and width of the page.

  3. The Java Script – You have to find the latitude and longitude of your place and replace the co-ordinates.

Now you are ready and just copy-paste the modified Javascript code in the footer of your HTML page.
